Delicious foie gras
The Ferme Basque de Charlevoix is a traditional foie gras duck-breeding farm. Everything in this farm is made following the purest Basque tradition, from duck breeding to product making. The ducks are bred outside in grassy areas and are force-fed in a traditional way, with whole grain corn. During the force-feeding period, the ducks are put in small groups in collective parks, thus allowing them to move around and flap their wings. You can visit the farm to learn more about mulard duck breeding and about dick product processing. The foie gras production is made directly at the farm, always following the recipes from the Basque Country. You can even have a picnic on the site if the weather is nice.me Basque de Charlevoix is a traditional foie gras duck-breeding farm.
