Centre de l'Émeu de Charlevoix

Open from June to October

A very particular bird

The emu, an animal coming from Australia, has been living very well in the Charlevoix region for nearly 10 years now. The Centre de l'émeu de Charlevoix is the largest centre specialized in the ecological production of emu (more than 400). Moreover, we are specialized in the development and distribution of emu by-products, especially emu oil, emu meat and agro-tourism.

The guided visit will be very interesting for adults as well as for children. This visit will allow you to see emus of all ages and a rhea, which is a cousin of the emu. You will also discover the habitat and way of life of the emu, both in breeding and wild environments. You will learn more about the emu by-products and even be able to test them.

A boutique on the premises allows you to buy the products of your choice. You can also enjoy a sampling and our picnic tables. Other regional products and beverages are also available.
