The village of Baie-Sainte-Catherine is well-known for the numerous whale-watching cruises it offers. Located right in front of the sea, this village houses a lovely sandy beach, the Sentiers de la chute and du castor, which form a 6-mile loop, as well as the Centre d’interprétation et d’observation de Pointe-Noire, one of the sites belonging to the Saguenay - St. Lawrence Marine Park Discovery Network. Most of the area of this park is located between the Saguenay Fjord and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and it allows you to observe ocean phenomena, different kinds of birds, invertebrate and mammal species, and to admire the fjord, surrounded by 300 meter high cliffs. You will have the possibility to go hiking, sailing, snorkelling, sea kayaking and much more. On Road 138, you will encounter the Centre de métiers d’art Les Gros Becs, inside which you will discover the artist Joanne, her environment, her inspirations, her workshop and her creations.
